Her works with pastels are like your running through a field of sunflowers on a warm sunny day. The texture the pastels give when it’s placed on the canvas is such a soothing, and soft feeling it makes the piece more at ease. Like other artist Karen studies how light affects a subject that you are painting. It’s amazing how throughout the day how everything changes colors. Sunset would be my favorite time of day because I love the oranges, pinks, purples, and magenta that the sun gives off when it’s about to hit the horizon . Every day she pushes herself and tries to do something different with her daily paintings. One of my favorites would be “Florida Palm” because of the bold strokes and bold cold she uses. It’s a little different than her other pieces of work. She also started on black pastel mat and let it show through a little bit which made the colors stand out more.seesahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13181916593849970488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14672405.post-85808765913779503122010-05-18T12:41:57.967-04:002010-05-18T12:41:57.967-04:00Karen daily paintings are something you can’t desc...Karen daily paintings are something you can’t describe with one word.
