Pastel Classes and Workshops

• I offer a variety of pastel classes and workshop in my Marietta, Georgia studio. If you are in the Atlanta area,  I would love to have you join a class or discuss with you how I can help you on your journey with pastels. 
• I also offer PRIVATE LESSONS. Topics will cover anything you wish to work on. Lessons are tailored to your specific needs. Private lessons are $45 for 2 hours. Times are very flexible. Contact me for more details.
• If you would like to schedule a workshop for your art group please contact me so we can discuss your ideas. I love to travel and would be happy to come to you!
• I will be offering online mentoring sessions in 2012. Look for details soon!

SUMMER CAMP SERIES 2012

This summer I will be offering several classes to help you keep the creative juices flowing. Classes will be relaxed and fun. We will be experimenting with unusual techniques and will be taking a break from the hard stuff!  You can come to any class you would like with no obligation to attend the whole series. JUNE 20    'Dusting & Scraping'   We will have fun experimenting with the unusual technique of dusting and scraping. Add some magic to your pastel paintings! class meets for 2 hours 7-9.  $25

JULY 11    'Start and Stock an Etsy Shop'    Bring your laptop to this hands on class. I will walk you through the steps to set up an Etsy shop. Etsy is a wonderful venue for selling your art and it is easy to get it going. We will also spend some time painting minis to get your shop stocked!  This is a 3 hour class. We will meet from 6-9PM  $25

JULY 25     'Fast and Loose'   Have a glass of wine and sit to paint in this class. We will work on techniques to create fast and loose pastel paintings.  This is a great class to create work to stock your new Etsy shop!  $25

AUGUST 8   'Monotypes and Pastels'    Discover the wonderful medium of monoprints. This is how Degas created many of his ballet pastels....they were painted on ghost prints. Thistechnique is very freeing and a lot of fun.  Supplies included!  This 3 hour class meets from 6-9 and the fee is $35

FALL 2012 Pastel Classes

I have planned a fun and exciting line up of classes and mini workshops of the Fall.  I invite you to have a look and consider joining me for some workshops in 2012. I have classes for all levels of ability and have added some Intro to Pastel classes as well as some art business classes. Read on to see what I am offering!

ONGOING:  Consider joining my ongoing pastel class 'Back to Basics'. We cover the basics of painting and pastel techniques. This class is suitable for artists of all levels of experience. I offer the class twice each week...Class meets Wednesday mornings from 10:00am-12:00  OR Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm-9:00.

I have have the pleasure of taking pastel classes with Karen Margulis. She has a background in fine art, teaching and is passionate about Pastels as shown in her commitment to the medium. What I love most about Karen besides how nice she is, is that she is so giving of everything she has learned about Pastels. I know she reads many pastel book, goes to shows, and takes part in many workshops by some of the top Pastel Artists in the country. She shares all she learns and you get the best of all her investment and time she spent in learning. I have personally grown so much as an artist and have come so far in my skill set with Karen.
