Stormy Sunset

'Stormy Sunset' 8x10 pastel

This could be considered part of my wildflower series although what I remember most about this evening is the stormy weather and the amazing sunset. A terrible storm had just blown through town and we were headed out to the car when we saw the sun peek through the clouds. For a brief moment everything just glowed and then the clouds moved back over the sun. It was one of those magical moments and I caught it on film....and wanted to paint it as well.
