'Lavender's Edge' 12x16 pastelA few summer's ago we took a wonderful trip out to the Pacific Northwest. We visited national parks from the Oregon and Washington Coast to the North Cascades and Mount Ranier....it was amazing! Unfortunately that was before I painted so my reference photos from the trip are very few. One of the stops we made was to the Purple Haze Lavender farm in Sequim Washington. I would love to go back and paint those fields of lavender!
This painting is wonderful. So beautiful. The colours just jump out at you. I love the colours you have used, especially for the lavender, and I love the free feeling of the piece.
