'House Finch' 5x7 pastelI haven't painted a bird in awhile. I don't know why...I really enjoy paintig them. I have a big bird painting planned with some gulls and terns. I can't wait to try that one. We worked today on getting my studio painted. We also added some new lighting. I will be having some beginning pastel students come over to paint starting in March and I want to have everything just right!
I am sooooo looking forward to that class!

This gorgeous male housefinch has a beautiful house finch nest with five eggs in it, painted by the same artist, waiting for him to arrive. The eggs are eagerly awaiting their daddy!
