'The Afternoon Bath' 8x10 pastelIt was time to paint Tobi again and I couldn't resist this pose of him grooming in the sun spot. I can always find him relaxing in the spot around lunch time when the sun comes in the window. He makes me wish I could just sit in the sun and relax too!

ReplyDeleteI just love all of your cat paintings as I do your pastel work in general. The way you use pinks and lavenders and aquas within the cat's body is so intersting and inspiring to me. I have been trying to find someone who will teach pastels in my area with no luck at all. You are very lucky to have what sounds like a great class in your area. Since Hurricane Katrina, we have lost so much and I guess many artists have left New Orleans as well. I'm going to keep looking for a teacher but in the meantime I enjoy seeing your work every day. Thanks.

Love the colors in this one, all your cats are beautiful! I have 3 new ones since Nov. and have been sketching them almost everyday. I've done some in wire that I hope to post today!
