'The Chanticleer Inn' 8x10 pastelThis past summer we had a wonderful visit to Nantucket. We have family on the island and had a great time touring the island with them. I really wish I had taken more photos but I think I just need to go back with my pastels and paint!
Those summer days of my youth, those long hours of work at The Chanticleer when Ray and Catherine Wiley owned the place; Nantucket and 'Sconset--that magical place across the continent from the other coast which I came to call home. Great memories; an exposure to people and a way of life which was so different from that little village in Appalachian Ohio that I once called home.
