Wildflowers of the Southwest

'Desert Beauty' 8x10 pastel
When I was out in New Mexico last month these pretty white flowers were everywhere. I was calling them the Queen Anne's Lace of the desert! I have to look up their name now but it was something like spectacle plant because the seed pods look like tiny eyeglasses.

    This is very pretty. Oil pastel or chalk pastel? Love the soft effect and colours. Excellent!
