Art Cruise 2016 Report from the Caribbean

We are halfway through my Caribbean pastel workshop and there is nothing better than sharing my passion with other artists in beautiful places. My vision for the art cruise was to have a group of artists come together to learn and share, create and relax! I am showing the group ways to explore beautiful places and capture memories with pastel field studies and sketchbooks. I call it 'plein air lite'!

Our first two days of the cruise were spent at sea. We met in the piano bar of the ship for instruction/ demos and painting time. It was great to have our own private room to get ready for our plein air outings later in the week. It also gave the group time to get to know one another better. One of the benefits of a workshop is sharing and making new friends!

Yesterday we had our first port stop at St. Maarten. I'll report back with more photos when I can and a detailed trip report when we return but I wanted to check in with a quick hello! Tomorrow we have a private tour of St. Thomas!
