Last night at the Southeast Pastel Society's meeting we saw a demo by Margaret Dyer. It was wonderful! She painted a nude from a crummy photo and it was beautiful! She was so free with her colors and stokes and it was like watching her perform magic to see that painting materialize. Well of course I was inspired to try some of the techniques she shared but I have never painted the figure before...so I tried some flowers. I need more than 50 minutes with her! I really would love to take one of her workshops because I would like to be able to paint people!
