'The Backyard View' 16x20 pastelI took many photos on a plein air painting trip to Blue Ridge, Georgia last spring and this is one of the views I've been wanting to paint. It was early morning and we were visiting a local farm that is just full of wonderful things to paint. I liked the view from behind the house peeking out onto a sunlit field. I used a prepared gator foam board for this painting. Next on the easel is a Florida scene...it's in the 80's here this weekend and it sure feels like Florida!
