Magen's Bay, St. Thomas USVI

'Perfect Paradise' 5x7 pastel

One of my favorite beaches to paint is Magen's Bay. I have a stack of reference photos I took and every once in awhile I will take one out and use it for a painting. I love the view of Magens Bay from the rocks on the right side of the beach. They make a perfect foreground for the gorgeous water. I painted this one while on my recent cruise so I was feeling the effects of the caribbean air while I painted on my lounge chair!
