'Morning at the River' 8x10 pastel
I have been totally off the grid for the last week at the Richard McKinley workshop in Hope Valley California. I am down at the California coast for a couple of days before heading home. It was a wonderful experience and I will have to give a full report when I get back. But if anyone is considering a workshop with Richard....Go!!! It was fantastic and you will learn so much. He is an amazing artist and teacher. Our location in the Sierras was spectacular and the group of ladies in the class were fantastic. The Sierra Pastel Society and the coordinators were the best! I will have more details to follow! This is the last painting I did at the workshop. It is a field study on wallis belgian mist with no underpainting.

Looking forward to hearing about it, but this is really a piece of heaven!
I bet that was a good workshop. I really like Richard McKinley's work. Your Sierra Nevada painting is excellent.
Beautiful Karen!
Very nice, Karen!
