'Colorado Lupines' 8x10 pastelThis painting is from a photo I took this summer on a jeep ride up to Yankee Boy Basin in Ouray Colorado. I had been to Yankee Boy Basin years ago but it was too early for the wildflowers. This time we were there at the peak. We had a wonderful but hairy jeep ride with me snapping photos the whole time. I loved the hillsides covered in purple and blue lupines!
