'Winter Color' 8x10 pastelYou never know what you might find when cleaning up the studio! Today I found this painting on a top shelf wrapped in glassine. I put it up there when it was on the Twitter 140 hours auction and forgot about it. That was over a year ago! I remember doing this study for larger paintings I did for demos at the Appalachian Pastel Society and the Southeastern Pastel Society. It was my first time doing a demo in front of a big group and I wanted to be sure I was prepared. This one is 8x10 on Pastelbord with a value underpainting done with dark blue Nupastel and turpenoid,
