Some Color for a Dreary Winter's Day

'Blue Sunflower' 5x7 pastel

I had a wonderful day painting with my friends Jayne Bachman and Marsha Savage. What a treat! It was a perfect day to stay warm inside Marsha's great new studio. Since it was so cold and rainy I felt like having fun with some color. I painted these four little 5x7 sunflower pastels. It is fun to use some of those pastel colors that I don't usually use. I am thinking about doing some really big sunflower paintings so these little ones will help me decide on some color choices for the large ones.
