'Purple Haze' 16x20 pastelI am putting my purple pastels away after finishing the last in my lavender field series. I had so much fun with these. For the last one I went larger and did an oil paint underpainting. If you look closely you can see the drips and spider webs from the oil paint stain. I love doing this kind of underpainting. We did it in yesterday's class and everyone went home with a great painting!
This one is my favorite, I think. I am pulled into the scene, and the sky you have painted is gorgeous!
