An Itty Bitty Painting

This is my effort today....it's just 3 x 5. It's hard to tell from this picture but it's a painting of the Watch Tower at the Grand Canyon's South Rim. It was late afternoon with a dark cold stormy sky. We got out for our first glimpse of the canyon after a long drive from Monumnet Valley. It was so cold but we had to get out and look anyway.It's a good thing we did because suddenly the sun broke through and lit up the dark clouds. It was the Grand Canyon in all it's mysterious, beautiful glory.
