Stone Harbor Beach Days

I couldn't help myself. I just had to paint a Jersey Shore beach scene today. This one is based loosely on some photos of the beach at Stone Harbor, New Jersey but it is mostly from my imagination. As I painted I imagined a hot hazy lazy summer day at the beach. I could smell the fresh sea air and hear the muffled sounds of people talking, children playing and music from some radios. I could feel the warmth of the sun as I relaxed in my beach chair and savored a piece of my favorite salt water taffy. This painting is sure to bring back those summer memories on even the coldest winter day!
