It's true. I did not paint a thing this weekend! I spent the weekend shopping and getting packed for my painting trip to St. George Island later this week. I was repacking my pastels and I had only the tiniest sliver of a pale purple hard pastel. It must be my favorite color! Well, I went to Dick Blicks with no luck. I am not even sure if it's a nupastel or a polychromos....I'm going to have to order all the purples I guess! I do plan on working on a painting later today....it's a commission of a man on his sailboat....I'll post my progress later. But for now, here is the thought of the day from Robert Henri.....
"A worker or painter should enjoy his work, else the observer will not enjoy it. It is not good to wear lace that was a drudgery to someone to make. The lace, as well as the picture, should be made in joy."
