'Sunshine on a Gloomy Day' 8x10 pastelToday Carol & I decided we'd set up a still life and paint from life. I never get to do that and I know how helpful it is....and hard to do! I bought some sunflowers and this is my version. I have them at my desk now so my goal is to paint them everyday until they are through. I love sunflowers though so this will be a fun project!

Karen, this is really lovely! I admire the loose quality of your strokes. That's something I really need to work on in my art, in all areas. You seem to make it so effortless!

After the weekend you had, you sure didn't loose your touch! this is vibrant and lively, such a grand expression of color and unity all at once.
