'Juneau' 8x10 pastel
I am planning to paint two poses of this dog. I have a wonderful picture of him lounging on the couch. He is part wolf and part malmute I believe. I am also going to post a couple of progress shots of this painting on my pet portrait blog.

Hi! Those eyes look very good! I really admire your capability to do that, you know, you get the certain twinkle or gloss into the eyes. Like you put something more on the paper than just the paint. :)
Are you going to post the "couch" painting on your blog too? It would be very nice to see that!

Thank you for your comments. I was hoping to capture his spirit and I am happy to say that the owner saw the painting and felt that I really captured his eyes! So I am pleased that i was able to do that! I will post the couch painting but I spent all morning cleaning the studio so no painting today!
Hi, Karen, I am Juneau's Mom and I think the painting is spectacular. He was a gentle yet mischievous creature and I think you really captured that in his eyes. I hope to see the "couch" painting as well. I love your works.
