5x7 Marsh Studies

My preparations continue for my Fall workshops. Each workshop has a theme so I like to prepare work to illustrate the theme. The workshop in September is Simplifying the Landscape...painting the marsh. I am working on doing some small studies of the marsh and it's many moods. Here is today's study 'Early Morning Marsh' 7x5 pastel. I remember doing a painting of this scene on location so it was fun to revisit it through my photos.
