'Summer Lavender' 8x10 pastel
Driving from Georgia to Wyoming was a wonderful adventure. We stopped whenever we saw something that seemed interesting. One of the stops we made was to a lavender farm in the heart of Kansas. The only problem was that nothing was blooming. In fact the rows of lavender looked neglected. Bad news for a photographer wanting good pictures. But for an artist...it worked. I just came home and painted my own lavender fields! I love being an artist.
