What Can You Paint with 16 Pastels?

Pastels can be expensive! Are you on a budget? Or perhaps you are looking for a small simple set for travel or quick studies. I have been asked by my patrons over on my Patreon group to review some budget pastels sets. This month I begin the series of reviews. I am beginning with a simple limited palette set of assorted pastels by Daler Rowney. Several other pastel brands offer similar limited palette sets.

Throughout the month I will be using this set for many of my demos and videos. It will. be a lot of fun to explore a budget set of limited colors and values and see what I can do with them.

The painting in todays post is one of my demos using the set alone. It is on Canson Mi-Teintes paper so a true 'budget' painting!
