'Our Egret'Something strange happens when I start to paint a shore bird...they just seem to paint themselves. I'm not saying that the finished product is any better or worse than my usual painting...but the actual painting process just flows. This painting is the result of a wonderful egret carving that was given to me by a friend (thank you!) I knew I had some reference photos of some egrets from my photographer friend (thank you!!jte) So I started this one the other night and just got around to finishing. Now I have to decide which bird will be next!
