Here is my finished oil painting. It's 8 x 10. It's the same salt marsh that I've done in pastels....Stone Harbor Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. How did I like oil painting? It was different. I will need to try some more but my first impression is that I am too impatient of a painter to mix the colors....maybe that is why I took to pastels....I know what color I want and all I have to do is pick up the right pastel...no time wasted mixing the right color! And....I get ahead of myself and forget to clean my brush between colors. I won't give up though...so look for more oil paintings here and there.
