I've painted houseboats and lighthouses...but this was my first house commission. It was for a Christmas surprise and I hope they were pleased. It was fun to do. I will be returning to 'beach' mode as I start a painting of the Avalon Pier for another commission. I'll try to do that as a work in progress so you can see the steps I take. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

I hope they were pleased too! I like it. :-) It looks like a lovely house, and a beautiful job with the lights and shadows. I especially like the play of shadows from the trees on the roof.
