'The Patient Fishermen'I couldn't resist painting this one. It's Ernie the Snowy Egret waiting patiently for his catch of the day! This funny bird hangs out in front of the Waterside Inn on Sanibel Island. The week we stayed at the Inn there was also a group of avid surf fishermen. Every morning Ernie would wait patiently until one of the fishermen would toss him some bait. He is quite a character and I have many more references of him to paint!
