'Breakfast Walk' 5x7 pastelI was surprised to come across the Yellow-Crowned Night Heron on the beach in front of our cottage on Sanibel Island. I thought they prefered the mangroves and salt marshes but there he was strolling down the beach early one morning. I took my photo and he flew off...but he made my day!
