Sanibel Stoop

'Shellseeker at Sunset' 11x14 pastel
I've had this image in mind for quite awhile. I decided that today was the day to paint it. This is my daughter looking for shells at sunset on Sanibel Island. One of the great things about staying in a cottage right on the beach is the ability to walk the beach at all the best times of day. The magic hour just before sunset is one of those times!

Nicely done...I love to see figures in landscapes...it adds life to the painting!

This is really beautiful. I hope I am able to create something like this one day in my own work.
