'Water Lily in Bloom' 8x10 pastelOn our recent trip to the South Carolina coast we visited Brookgreen Gardens. There were several ponds with lilies that were on the verge of blooming. We were disappointed that we didn't see any in bloom. As luck would have it, on the ride home, we saw some lilies in bloom in a pond at the side of the highway!! We got to see our lilies after all...so of course they had to be painted! This painting is 8x10 on prepared gatorboard which gives it a nice texture.
