'Jennifur' 8x10 pastelIf you were to look at my cat paintings you would see that most of the cats have their eyes closed. Is it because I avoid painting their eyes? Not really because I love the colors found in a cat's eye. I think that the poses of cats at rest speak to me the most so that is what I like to paint. Jennie is a cat who is very alert and always on guard. She doesn't like the Siamese cats and they know it and tease her. But Jennie does love to snuggle on any available lap especially a lap covered in a soft blanket! This painting is 8x10 on LaCarte brown pastel card.

She is such a beauty! I love the painting and you captured her luminous eyes so well. Cats can get very opinionated on both humans and other cats! She sounds like a total sweetheart with that lap addiction going.
