Here's one of my paintings from this afternoon's pleain air excursion. This tree was so brilliant that it looked like it was on fire. When I started the painting the sun was out making nice shadows...I quickly tried to capture them and sure enough within minutes they were gone and the tree wasn't as luminous. This plein air painting is hard!
