This is another pastel I did last week on prepared gatorfoam. I have a few more pieces as well as some large pieces of gatorfoam that I may prepare to bring to Creighton Island. It's a nice change of pace to paint on different surfaces. Tomorrow I would like to paint a Southwest scene before I tackle my next pet commission.

hello again, about that oil painting Mountain Field, I think you were able to keep your great, loose style! At first I didn`t notice it`s an oil painting :)
How do you prepare the gatorboard? It would be interesting to try to paint on that, I`ve never done it before.
This is off the subject but can you imagine that I haven`t found any pastel society or group in Finland! And when visiting exhibitions there are hardly any pastel paintings or I could say none. So I feel a bit alone :)
Hi Jane,
I posted the directions on my blog a few months ago...you can try to do a search for it. Let me know if you cannot find it and I will rewrite them.
Have you visited the pastel forums at wetcanvas.com? That is somewhat of a 'virtual' group...or maybe you could start the group in Finland!
