'Royalty' 5x7 pastelThis siamese cat does seem to have a regal look. He has a way of looking like he's the king no matter what he is doing. Here he is having a little catnap. I love trying to paint different angles and close-ups of the cats. To me, cats are so beautiful you just can't go wrong no matter what angle you paint them!

I've been a lurker for a while here. I love your loose style--I envy it. I've never taken a class, but have been trying to learn pastels on my own. (I need to find a class!)
My style is too finicky. Pastels are made for variation and layers. I love working with pastels, I just need to loosen up. Your blog is inspiring. Thanks so much for letting us see your work.
