'Approaching Storm' 5x7 pastelThe Gulf is usually calm off the Sanibel coast but on this visit we experienced a tropical storm so it was rough and very windy. I really didn't mind the break from the hot sun and the treasure washed ashore after the storm made it all worthwhile. I actually found a beautiful little Lion's Paw shell!

I really like this painting. Looking at the ocean and the approaching storm through the sea oats transports me to my visits to other beaches in your part of the world.
