North Georgia Forest


'Quiet Light' 8x10 pastel
Here is my homework assignment. We were to try a watercolor underpainting. I chose a scene from a photo I took in Dawsonville Georgia a few years ago. I always liked the dappled light in the woods. I remember it being very peaceful. I used quality watercolors but my underpainting was still wimpy. I need to practice some more. It is much easier on the pastelbord. No worries of paper buckling!

Karen, this is luscious. I love how the lavenders and warm blues converse with each other. I live north of Clarkesville so am especially drawn to anything woodsy.
