Tonight's class we are talking about Henri Matisse and we will be trying to paint in his style. I had some time last night and decided to give it a try. I studied my big book on Matisse and chose some color combinations I liked. These little paintings are from my own photos and are pastels. I don't know if I was successful but I sure did have fun.

Something Different

Karen, these are really interesting! Quite a bit different than your style, but they sure look fun to do. Sounds like you have a great class with interesting projects.
They were fun. It has been great studying other artists. I have been learning so much and these little paintings are a great break!

Oh wow Karen these are great. I love cats on top of it all. Matisse is my favorite artist of all times. Doesn't he have yummie colors? I have got to try his style! I think you nailed it girlie! Laura.

these are definately successful from my opinion. I love them seen together to create a cat story.
