Foggy Day Landscape

'Morning Rain' 8x10 pastel

I love a foggy day! When the sky is overcast it acts like a giant softbox and the colors in the landscape come to life! This is a walking trail on Nantucket Island. I could have spent hours here taking pictures but my family retreated from the mist to the car so my visit was cut short. This painting is 8x10 on Uart paper with a watercolor underpainting. I only used my Great American Richard McKinley set of pastels. I am really enjoying this set!
