Miniature Pastel Painting

'After the Storm' 2.5x3.5 pastel

This was one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever witnesssed. Probably because it was so unexpected. It happened after a raging storm on the Delaware Bay. We were out to dinner with friends and the wind and rain were so fierce that the power went out. After the storm stopped and we were able to leave the restaurant, we emerged to the most striking sunset peeking below the storm clouds. I put this little painting in a small black frame with a mat and it looks much more impressive!
