It was a beautiful day in Chicago and we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was a good place to try out my new camera. I got some fun shots of the gorillas that I thought I would share. I have been wanting to get a compact digital camera with a decent optical zoom like Jayne and Holly's Panasonic so I recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix with a 12x optical zoom. The zoo was a perfect place to try it out. I love visiting new places and it's nice to take a pause from painting and enjoy some photography. Tonight I will try for some night scenes!

great shots! I've enjoyed my little Panasonic Lumix, too - I take it everywhere now & leave the big DSLR at home!
