'Summer in the Mountains' 8x10 pastelThis is the painting I worked on in class on Tuesday. We painted along with our teacher Marsha Savage. I wasn't at all happy with mine. I had trouble seeing what Marsha was painting and couldn't figure out the masses of bushes and trees. I don't like to give up and throw a painting out because I feel like I learn something when I am able to work through my problems. At home a brushed out my disaster and washed it all in with an alcohol wash. I recreated the trees and added some poppies to the empty field. It needed some poppies!
