'Autumn Priarie' 8x10 pastelIt is officially the first day of Fall but it doesn't feel like it here in Atlanta....very warm and muggy though thankfully it isn't raining! Today's painting is an Autumn wildflower scene. I took some great reference photos last week in Chicago. There is a wonderful garden in Millenium Park called Lurie Gardens. It is filled with prairie grasses and wildflowers. I was in heaven! The blue flowers in bloom are Bottle Gentians. There will be more in this new 'prairie' series!
