Today I am sharing one of the 5 minute marsh studies I did for yesterday's demos. No time to paint here today. We are dealing with lots of rain here in Atlanta and my basement/studio is starting to flood. It hasn't done that in years and I forgot what a pain it is to clean up the water! It is supposed to rain for a couple of days so it looks like the end isn't quite in sight. I'm afraid it's going to be a long week!

Love the subdued colors! So simple and yet so masterly!
Thank you Liza.I may decide to do this one larger. I love using these colors!
Lovely colors....yes, even here in Germany they are showing all the flooding in Georgia...I hope your basement/studio is ok...good luck!!
As a landscape painter living in New Jersey I am keeping my fingers crossed regarding the weather in the Atlanta Metro area. Every time the news about your weather situation is on TV I keep asking myself, "what the heck is going on"? First of all there was a drought now the deluge. I enjoy finding your beautiful paintings in my in box. Although I do not work in pastels, { I work with acrylics as my primary medium w/ colored pencils # 2} I learn from your beautiful handling of color.
Your paintings are very uplifting.
Good luck with your studio-hopefully this weather nightmare will end soon.
