Early Fall Landscape Painting

'Fall's Arrival' 11x14 pastel

My favorite part of Fall is actually early Fall. I like it when the leaves are just starting to show some color and there is finally a relief to all of the green! I also like the moodiness of a late Fall day when there is a bit of color left but winter is definitely in the air. This is the demo painting I did for yesterday's workshop on painting the Autumn Landscape. I have one more workshop weekend remaining this year.
