Country Meadow Landscape Painting

'Country Meadow' 8x10 pastel
Did you notice the profusion of Queen Anne's Lace this past summer? At least it was that way here in the Southeast. We finally had a spring and summer with some rain so I am sure it helped. I found this meadow of flowers up in the North Georgia mountains. They are so much fun to paint!

You are the queen of Queen Anne's Lace, Karen! Beautiful painting! We had lots of these flowers this year too. Thanks for the WIP photos. Have you tried Golden Fluid Acrylics? They go on like watercolors and don't lighten as much, if at all, when they dry. You could try them for just the darks in underpaintings and stick with watercolors for the rest. Maybe when you feel like experimenting. Merry Christmas!
