Today's painting is part of a triptych of a birch forest in Maine. There were these gorgeous little orange wildflowers dotting the meadows at the edge of the woods. I have enjoyed painting them in a few other paintings. I need to get a better photo of the second painting but it is a continuation of the forest. It makes a fun pair. You can see my watercolor underpainting in this one, especially at the bottom.
