Acrylic Painting on Tar Paper ...Bird Nest

'Joy' Acrylic on Tar Paper 4x4 inches
Here's something new I have been working on....little bird nest acrylic paintings on tar paper. I made them into wall hangings with some twigs and copper wire. I had so much fun with them and hope to do more this week.

I love your turqouises you use and your nests and your eggs and now on TAR paper....omg...you mean the stuff they use on roof tops? On my screen it shows up shiny...is it shiny in real life? It is gorgeous and I love how you presented it on the stick and all.

Thank you Deborah. I have been wanting to do something with this tar paper roll for a long time!

Thanks Cynthia. Yes it is roofing tar paper and it is so much fun to play with. I have been working today with some new ideas which I will post when done. It is a bit shiny because I used gloss varnish to seal it.

A very lovely and intriguing painting. I love the texture. It's very rough and tactile. I want to touch it.
