'In Like a Lion' 18x24 pastelI had the urge to paint something big and simple today. Maybe it's because I have been working on acrylic painting wallhangings but I needed to have the freedom of a large piece of paper. If I had something larger than 18x24 I would have used it! I don't have it out of my system yet so I may try another one. What do I do with all of these big paintings! A bit of background on this scene....it was inspired by one of my 'highway' photos while driving in Northern Florida one Spring. I was taken by the dark fierce storm and the bright green and yellow fields. It needed to be big!.
